Plain language: 802.1x means the network itself demands the device prove who it is before granting a port; EAP-TLS is the strongest way to prove it, with a certificate instead of a password. Dual-network posture means the device sits on two networks at once, corporate wired and guest wireless, kept isolated, so guests share without ever touching the corporate LAN.

Hardware that does not vary by tier — the 10-year platform lifecycle, the invariants it holds constant, and the current silicon — is documented once, on the Pro spec sheet. Fungibility is within a tier: Pro and Essentials are not interchangeable, and the rows above are why.
Rip and Replace gives you credit toward Polaris Pro or Polaris Essentials when you replace your existing collaboration system. That includes systems from other vendors and Mersive Solstice. Mersive sales determines the credit for each project.

Link (the pod hosts the call) extends a Pro fleet. Link is a software bridge between the laptop in BYOM and the pod, and the pod is what controls the room’s cameras and peripherals — which is the Pro. Host (the room hosts the whole meeting) extends either tier, because Host can carry the peripherals itself: on Pro they connect directly to the pod and the cables stay at the front of the room; on Essentials they cable to the Host, which pairs with the Essentials unit, and that means a cable to the table. Larger rooms will usually want a Pro for exactly that reason.
